VITAN
Established in Bristol, England, Vitan is an initiative born from love of critically appraising the scientific evidence base to delineate credible performance, resilience and longevity optimisations in physical activity. Being controversial and muddied topics, particularly longevity, much confusion appears to have led most people to become disincentivised. The importance of which has been inspired by my history of sporting injuries including a fractured back, shoulder surgery, torn ligaments and being airlifted in a helicopter. My aim is to disseminate concepts that have germinated and matured over many years from my own injury prevention, recovery and athletic endeavours and continue pushing their development with scientific and technological advancements.
Vitan is rooted in an advanced understanding of human physiology and pathology from my Medical degree, and Human Anatomy and Education Masters. My deep interest in orthopaedics, adventure and sports medicine, and insights gained during medical and surgical jobs, international sporting injury orthopaedic surgical placements, and conferences and courses has elevated my understanding. Currently, I am continuing to amplify my understanding during the second half of a two year Sport and Exercise Medicine Masters while also continuing high performance surf coaching and gaining experience in motorsport performance in a breadth of race classes.
Your support will be greatly appreciated and reinvested to help fund the second year of my Sport and Exercise Medicine MSc, research into further advancing injury prevention and joint optimisation, and grow what Vitan offers while developing into the ultimate repository and manual for best utilising your anatomy. Aims include delivering regular webinars, refining a few portable and convenient training aids and devices, and bringing together international experts for conferences, courses and workshops.
